Our Programs

The early years — from birth to age six — are among the most influential in a child’s life. At Young Academics Club Early Learning, we intentionally build a strong foundation during this critical period by drawing from both the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies. Together, these approaches create a holistic learning environment that supports children’s social, physical, academic, and spiritual growth.

To honour the diverse needs of children and families, we offer two thoughtfully curated programs. Each is specifically designed for distinct age groups and intentionally aligned with developmental milestones to ensure meaningful and age-appropriate learning experiences.

Young Program

Ages 6 Months - 3 Years
Our Young Program is thoughtfully designed to nurture children during their earliest and most important years with warmth, consistency, and attentive care. During infancy and toddlerhood, emotional security and trusting relationships form the foundation for learning and development.

In our calm and well-organized classrooms, children are supported by compassionate, licensed Early Childhood Educators who encourage exploration, independence, and early self-help skills. Through responsive guidance and meaningful interactions, we help young children build confidence while discovering the world around them.

Academic Program

Ages 3 Years - 5 Years
Our Academics Program is designed to support children during an important stage of growth, when independence, curiosity, and social awareness continue to develop. Through engaging learning experiences, children build confidence while exploring new ideas and developing important early skills.

Children are encouraged to explore both independently and collaboratively with their peers, strengthening social connections while supporting emotional and cognitive development. With
consistent routines, responsive guidance, and positive encouragement, we help children feel secure, capable, and ready for meaningful learning.

Montessori Inspired Approach

At Young Academics Club Early Learning, aspects of our program are inspired by Montessori principles that support children’s independence, confidence, and natural curiosity.

Within our classrooms, children have access to thoughtfully prepared learning areas with hands-on materials designed to encourage concentration, exploration, and problem-solving. Children are given the opportunity to choose activities that interest them and work at their own pace, helping them develop focus and a sense of accomplishment.

Our educators carefully observe children’s interests and provide gentle guidance when needed, allowing children to take an active role in their learning. Through these experiences, children build practical life skills, develop independence, and gain confidence in their abilities.

This approach supports children in becoming capable, curious learners who enjoy discovering and understanding the world around them.

Music Program

Music to Learn and Feel
Music is an important part of our daily rhythm and serves as a joyful way for children to connect, express themselves, and explore the world around them. Through songs, rhythm, and movement,
children and educators share meaningful experiences that support learning while building positive relationships.

Our music experiences help children:
• Express themselves through song, rhythm, and movement
• Develop fine motor coordination and body awareness
• Strengthen listening and attention skills
• Build confidence and creativity
• Experience joy through shared musical activities

We also offer a weekly music program in partnership with the Chilliwack Academy of Music, where children are introduced to instruments, rhythm, and musical exploration in a fun and engaging way. These experiences support children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.

Healthy Lunch Program

Everything's Included
At Young Academic Club Early Learning, we believe that forming healthy eating habits in thearly years is essential for children’s growth and development. Our nutritious lunches provide children in the Academic Program with balanced meals that help keep them energized, healthy, and ready to learn throughout the day.

We also encourage children to develop an understanding of where food comes from. Children have opportunities to participate in caring for our garden, helping with activities such as planting, watering, and observing how food grows.

Through these experiences, children develop an appreciation for fresh foods and healthy eating while exploring the journey from garden to table alongside their friends.

• Observe how plants grow and change over time
